At Alsley Lodge, we offer residents a varied and stimulating programme of entertaining activities. Our activities coordinator produces a programme that includes armchair exercises, dominoes, sewing and knitting, beetle drive, arts and crafts, table activities, memory games, quizzes, singing and dancing, baking, bingo, quoits, carpet bowls, flower arranging, magazines, board games and biscuit decorating. Singers and performers are frequently invited to Alsley Lodge for our entertainment.

Residents are encouraged to pursue their own interests and hobbies, with staff delighted to assist wherever necessary. With Wi-Fi throughout the home, a DVD player, large flat screen televisions, high quality sound system, daily newspapers and our small library of books, we ensure that our residents are provided with stimulation and diversion.

We also have our own on-site hair salon and hairdresser. Family members and the community are always welcome to volunteer with activities and events. New ideas are greatly appreciated.

Special events at Alsley Lodge are special indeed when celebrated together. Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Bonfire night are all marked with joyful festivities, whilst garden parties, barbecues and theme days are planned regularly to enhance the cheerful atmosphere. The local church community visits the home regularly, communion is held monthly at Alsley Lodge and residents can be taken to other religious services if they wish.

Trips are organised outside the home to restaurants, shopping trips and communal events. For those able to use it, public transport is easily accessible.
