Our Team

Alsley Lodge is owned by Raycare Ltd and is run by Care Manager, Mr Ken Greensmith. Mr Greensmith holds the Registered Managers Award as well as NVQ4 in management, numerous other qualifications and is a senior trainer of social care staff. He has over twenty five years' specialised experience in the social care sector.

quote-2Our outstanding care team are also dedicated and highly qualified; all have completed NVQ levels 2 or 3. We insist on a high standard of care, so our employees are carefully selected for their qualities of reliability, integrity, skill, friendliness and professionalism. Full induction training is provided and continuing professional development is undertaken by each member of staff. Attentive and compassionate carers are available twenty four hours a day. The high staff resident ratio enables us to provide companionship and stimulation, as well as tending to the residents'physical needs. In addition to the care staff, Alsley Lodge also employs a deputy manager, an administrator, two expert cooks, domestic staff, a housekeeper and a regular maintenance person.



Ken Greensmith – Registered Manager

Ken has over 27 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, 15 of these working in management positions in residential services.  He is highly qualified and holds the Registered Managers Award as well as various management and teaching qualifications.  He has a Certificate in Education and was responsible for the design and delivery of training to the Adult Social Care Sector when employed by Knowsley Council.  His approach to management is innovative, welcoming and ensures a high standard of individualised care and promotes a person centred approach.


Sandra McShane – Administrator

Sandra has worked at Alsley Lodge for over 7 years in administration.  Her exceptional organisational skills and extensive knowledge relevant to her role, together with her vast experience within customer services makes her a most valued staff member.  She provides excellent advice to all people who make contact with Alsley Lodge and ensures that everything relating to finance is in good working order.

Cindy Roddis – Deputy Manager

Cindy has worked in the health and social care sector for many years.  She holds a level IV qualification in Care and utilises her skills and knowledge to encourage independence and resident choice in all aspects of care. She has strong leadership skills and supports our staff in promoting an Ethos of Care that ensures independence and person centred care.


Paula McCardle – Catering

Our residents have been served Paula’s delectable gourmet meals for the last 5 years and she continues to serve appetising and healthy meals daily. She has Certificates and qualifications in Food and Safety, Nutrition and City and Guilds in Catering. Paula also has a detailed knowledge of the complex needs of all our residents and holds a Care Qualification Level 3. She uses this knowledge to support her skills in providing a high quality service.


Rosie Brown - Activities Coordinator

Rosie has a great wealth of experience and has introduced the development of an activity programme which greatly benefits our residents. Rosie is particularly concerned to ensure that the needs of each and every resident are catered for and consults regularly with individuals and others to ensure a programme which is varied, stimulating, interesting and entertaining.
